Merchant Terms

Purpose

This document summarizes how Producer Launchpad processes merchant and customer data to operate the app for merchants.

Role

Producer Launchpad processes customer and order-related data only as needed to provide the app's functionality to the merchant, including license generation, digital delivery, delivery recovery, and compliance handling.

Categories Of Data Processed

Producer Launchpad may process:

• merchant store identifiers and configuration
• customer name
• customer email
• Shopify order identifiers and order details
• order line item licensing details
• generated agreement and delivery records
• limited technical and audit metadata related to the transaction

Permitted Purposes

Producer Launchpad processes this data only to:

• associate purchases with buyers
• identify the licensee on generated license agreements
• generate agreement evidence
• create and manage secure delivery access
• send and track delivery emails
• support merchants in re-delivery or support workflows
• fulfill Shopify and privacy law compliance obligations

Restrictions

Producer Launchpad will not use merchant customer data for:

• advertising
• cross-merchant profiling
• unrelated analytics
• unrelated product personalization

Retention

Producer Launchpad retains customer data only as long as needed to provide the services described above, maintain delivery and agreement records, support merchants, and meet legal or platform compliance obligations.

Core order, delivery, and sold-license agreement records are retained while the merchant actively uses Producer Launchpad so the app can preserve fulfillment history and sold-license proof. Delivery troubleshooting metadata and similar technical telemetry are cleaned up after 90 days.

Producer Launchpad uses managed storage for merchant uploads at launch. If the app is uninstalled, we queue deletion immediately and complete removal of uploaded files and other shop-scoped app records within 7 days.

Shop-scoped records removed through uninstall or shop/redact include merchant acknowledgment records, sessions, delivery records, privacy request records, uploaded-file records, and related shop configuration. If merchants need copies of files or transaction records, they should save them before uninstalling.

Security Expectations

Producer Launchpad uses:

• encrypted transport
• encrypted production storage
• encrypted backups
• separated test and production environments
• least-privilege staff access
• access logging for sensitive operations
• an incident response process

Merchant Responsibilities

The merchant remains responsible for:

• lawfully selling and delivering their content
• ensuring they have rights to the content and terms they offer
• configuring accurate storefront and support information
• responding to any end-customer obligations they control directly

Producer Launchpad is not intended to remain the merchant's permanent records custodian after uninstall.

Privacy Requests

Producer Launchpad records Shopify privacy request events automatically and fulfills them operationally for the store owner for:

• customer data requests
• customer redaction
• shop redaction
